Why we built it

PeerReviewReady was founded by Matt Morsch and Ken Gelinas. Ken is a CPA with forty years in public accounting, and he built this after watching the same preventable SSARS deficiencies show up in peer review report after peer review report: a representation letter with stale wording, an analytical procedure with no documented expectation, a date that drifted between the report and the file.

None of those are hard problems. They are attention problems, and they surface at the worst possible moment, after the report has gone out, in front of a reviewer, on an engagement you can no longer change. A second set of eyes on the file before you sign it catches nearly all of them.

A practicing AICPA peer reviewer ran PeerReviewReady against an engagement he had already reviewed himself. It found everything he found.

Who we're for

Small CPA firms, typically 1 to 10 licensed professionals, performing SSARS review and compilation engagements for private-company clients. You aren't looking for help interpreting the standards; you know AR-C cold. You want the documentation gap, the missed inquiry, or the date drift caught before the engagement is issued. We read your file against the AICPA SSARS standards (AR-C §§ 80 and 90) and the AICPA Peer Review Program checklist, document by document, on What we review.

What we're not

We are not a CPA firm, not a peer reviewer, not a quality management system, and not a substitute for your professional judgment. We do not perform your engagement and we do not issue an opinion on it. We are a pre-issuance review of the file you are about to put your name on, and the judgment stays yours.

The company

PeerReviewReady is operated by PeerReviewReady LLC, a Florida limited liability company. We make money one way: $199 per month per signing partner, or $1,990 per year, for unlimited engagements, with no setup fee and no per-file charge.
